Ms. Buragas graduated magna cumme laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Buragas was a member of the Moot Court Board and Mock Trial Team and received the Mathys Award for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy. Ms. Buragas also is a member of the Order of the Coif, an honorary society for law school graduates.
Prior to law school, Ms. Buragas received a Master’s Degree in Journalism. She spent several years pursuing a journalism career, working as a freelance reporter for a regional daily newspaper based in Madison, Wis., and as the associate editor of a weekly national trade newspaper.
In addition to her law practice, Ms. Buragas is actively involved in her community and recently was elected to serve a four year term on the Bloomington City Council.
In 2018 she was appointed Editor of the Illinois Bar Journal.
